I’m at it again… regular readers may already be aware of the fact that, every so often, I feel the need to attack my stable, well configured Linux box and attempt to install something that I don’t fully understand.
I use Debian, but I also use KDE, which isn’t supported by the stable release of Debian, and I wanted the new release of KDE, and knowing my past history with breaking this box I had talked myself out of trying to install it… until yesterday…
It’s now Sunday night, and I’ve reinstalled, reinstalled, reinstalled, upgraded to unstable, reinstalled, begged for help from the nice people on the Debian-KDE lists, yelled at the thing… and its still refusing to configure X. One day I’ll learn, maybe…
