Dreamweaver blogs-a-plenty

Wednesday, July 10th, 2002

Since I still get a load of people finding this site by searching for Dreamweaver related stuff (that’s all now on edgeofmyseat.com folks) here are some more Dreamweaver related blogs that you might like to visit – as I noticed there have been a few new ones springing up in the last week or so.

Dreamweaverfever – Drew’s site including his ‘pain’ section to get you up and running with serverside development in DW MX.
Dan’s Shorts - Dan encouraging the use of “web standards” among Dreamweaver users.
Matt Brown – Matt is a Macromedia Community Manager and so has lots of great up-to-date info on his blog
Nancy’s weblog – A brand new blog from Nancy Gill – a Team Macromedia member

Also Dreamweaver related, the WaSP Dreamweaver Task Force Assessment of Dreamweaver MX is now on the WaSP site.

Linux in schools

When I read stuff like this, I have to wonder why schools are so tied to Microsoft software. When there are alternatives. It irritates me that an already underfunded school system is being made to pay out stupid money for licensing fees – when a lot of the work that the computers are needed for could be completed on machines running Linux, and the eventual mass of well-versed Linux users coming out of schools might make things interesting!
